There will be two courses offered during the pre-Summit training day: ElectricCommander Intermediate Training, and ElectricCommander Plugins Training. These courses have specific prerequisites and are focused on users with specific skill sets, so please review the descriptions carefully before making your selection.

Registering for any training class also includes registration for the Customer Summit activities. This is the perfect opportunity for you to make the most of your Electric Cloud investment by attending both the training day and Summit.

ElectricCommander Intermediate Training

Do you want to become an ElectricCommander Power User or enhance your skills as a Commander developer? This course will cover all of the basic ElectricCommander functions such as administrating procedures, scheduling jobs, mining job details, configuring the home page, running reports, and searching within ElectricCommander. It will also include advanced ElectricCommander development topics such as properties, ectool, the Perl API, plugin basics, workflow, artifact management, views, security and custom reporting.

This course will include both classroom style instruction and hands-on lab exercises. Attendees will receive a handbook covering the material.

Prerequisites:
Must have familiarity with basic ElectricCommander concepts. A laptop running a Microsoft Windows or Linux version supported by ElectricCommander will be required.

Who should attend:
Any member of a software development team who wants to be able to take advantage of the full functionality of the ElectricCommander web interface or develop procedures for the team to use.


ElectricCommander Plugins Training

Do you want to learn how to develop an ElectricCommander plugin? Do you have a plugin you want to share or enhance? This training course will cover everything you need to know to build and deploy your own ElectricCommander plugin, including plugin architecture, development, packaging, installation, and deployment. It will also provide an opportunity for attendees to build or enhance a plugin with the help of Electric Cloud engineers and other attendees. Bring your ideas, existing customizations, or both.

This course will include both classroom style instruction and hands-on lab exercises. Attendees will receive a handbook covering the material and code samples.

Prerequisites:
Prior knowledge equivalent to the ElectricCommander Intermediate Training curriculum, including experience with properties, the Perl API, and ectool. A laptop running Microsoft Windows or a Linux version supported by ElectricCommander will be required.

Who should attend:
ElectricCommander administrators and developers who want to build plugins for their organization or share plugins with other users.
