Mountain View, CA, August 31, 2004 — Electric Cloud,
the software build infrastructure company, today announced the appointment
of Mike Maciag as its Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
A key executive in three successful start-ups that have defined new markets,
Mr. Maciag brings over 18 years of experience in information and technology
management.
According to John Ousterhout, Electric Cloud's CEO, "We are happy to have

Most recently, Mr. Maciag was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
at MS2, Inc., an enterprise software company that he founded in 1998. At MS2, Mr. Maciag
established a new application category Product Lifecycle Automation (PLA) with MS2 Accelerate.
MS2 was acquired by Agile Software.
In addition to MS2, Mr. Maciag played an essential role in establishing the Color Server
market as the Director of Marketing at Electronics for Imaging and the Super Server Market at
NetFrame Systems, Inc. Market traction at both Electronics for Imagining and NetFRAME Systems
led to successful public offerings. Mr. Maciag also served as Executive Director of Corporate
Development for Informix Software, acquired by IBM in 2001. At Informix, Mr. Maciag ran the
corporate venture fund, mergers and acquisitions, product marketing strategy and venture community
relationship management.
